Power Soccer

What is Power Soccer?

Powerchair soccer has been described as “playing soccer in go karts!” by our athletes. Plastic or metal footguards are attached to the front of power wheelchairs to maneuver a giant soccer ball. It is a fast paced sport that requires teamwork and skillful driving, which helps to build power-chair skills, dexterity and hand eye coordination.

The first session for new players is always free.

Pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough equipment. Please email edmonton@acpsa.ca if you plan to try a session.

The ACPSA has partnered with the Alberta Soccer Association to provide this program.

Individuals who develop an interest in competitive Power Soccer may also consider participating in the Advanced Skills Program.
