Alberta 2019 Boccia Provincials in Edmonton - Registration Open!

The 2019 Alberta Boccia Championships, hosted by the Alberta Cerebral Palsy Sports Association (ACPSA), will take place in Edmonton, AB from June 1-2, 2019. The tournament is nationally sanctioned by CCPSA (Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association).

This event will use official Bis-Fed rules. The matches will be timed. A Ball check will be in effect and is each athlete’s responsibility to get his equipment & balls check in the call room 30-15 min prior to match.

Who: 
Boccia athletes of all ages, abilities and experience are welcome to participate. Individual gameplay will be offered for throwing and ramp classes.

Venue: 
Crestwood Curling Club

Schedule: 
Classification will be Friday May 31st in the evening in Kane Room at Quality Inn West Edmonton. Gameplay will take place on Saturday and Sunday June 1st and 2nd.

Accommodations:
We have double queen rooms on hold for athletes at Quality Inn West Edmonton, 17803 Stony Plain Rd, Edmonton, AB T5S 1B4.
Athletes may call 780-484-8000 and mention ACPSA Athletes in order to make your reservation. Reservations need to be made by May 17th.

If you are in need of rooms with more accessibility like door width, bathroom space, etc, we have 2 rooms on hold. Contact us if you want one of these rooms or for more specifics.

All hotels in this area (West Edmonton, Stony Plain Rd) are about 6km from venue.

Player Transportation:
Skyshuttle provides transportation to and from Edmonton International Airport and hotels around the city. Roundtrip tickets are $30. Check-in is located near Door 7 on the Arrivals level and last shuttle departs the airport at 6:30PM. Book online or by phone at 780-465-8515 to book shuttle to airport.

Registration Fees:
Base player fee is $75/athlete. No registration fee required for Sport Assistants. Player registration includes 1 lunch ticket for Saturday and Sunday each. Extra food and drinks will be available for purchase at the venue. 
*Fee covers venue rental, sanctioning delegate and officials’ travel, lunch, snacks and refreshments*

Dinner fee is $15/person. This ticket is for a buffet dinner at venue after gameplay on Saturday June 1st. Drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) will be available at extra cost. 

Volunteers will have free snacks and beverages available at the venue, plus lunch and banquet dinner.
